Importance of Self-Love

Self love is a very important thing in life. Without self-love, one feels alone, depressed, and with anxiety. Most of my childhood I lived my life without self-love. I would always be that kid that sits alone in lunch, class, and in any school field trips. It was hard for me because kids always make fun of me in school. My self-steem was very bad. Sometimes I would cry at night thinking how a failure I was. Of course, I would’t tell nothing to my parents because I didn’t want them to worry about me. My childhood wasn’t easy. I left my country to come to the United States to have a better life. The first few years were hard because I didn’t speak any English and I didn't have nobody to talk to in school. In lunch I would sit by myself thinking how bad I wanted to go home just to see my mom and hug her. Elementary school was the hardest part of my life because kids would bully me and kids would make me cry. Why would kids in an early age start bullying other kids? What makes them feel superior? What is wrong with this society? In P.E class, I always played alone and feel sad because I wouldn’t have somebody to play with. This affected my my whole life. One of the saddest part of my life was in high school. I wanted to be that normal guy that goes out with friends and have fun, but that never happened. As a grew up, I realized that this was my own fault. Self-confidence is something important that we need to teach to young kids. When you have confidence of yourself, it means that you aren’t afraid of anything because you tough yourself how to be brave. We need to teach young kids the value of self-love. Self-love and compassion are key for mental health and well-being, keeping depression and anxiety away. The key for a good childhood is to teach young kids the value of self-love.
